Your Input Matters! Take the Survey on Impact of Budget Cuts
Our national partner, Housing Authority Insurance Group (HAI), is conducting a survey on the impact of potential 2012 HUD funding cuts on housing authorities, their residents, and their communities. This is an important, time-sensitive research project and we encourage you to participate.
Please take a few moments to provide this critical information and help illustrate the negative effects of these reductions. To take the survey, click here.
The survey asks questions about budget cuts you might make within your agency if your Operating Fund and Capital Fund were decreased by varying amounts in 2012. The baseline against which cuts are measured is 2010, since final 2011 allocations have not yet been determined. This information will then be used for the second phase of the research project, which will estimate the dollar value of these reductions to housing authorities, communities, and residents. The final product will provide a tangible picture of the true financial impact of ‘cost-cutting.’
By collecting this information, the survey will identify the most likely cuts to programs and services industry-wide, providing a tangible illustration of the negative effects that reductions to these funds would have.
